Authenticated service crash via unchecked remoteSrcTemp copy
Published Jul 14, 2025 · Updated Jul 14, 2025
Buffer overflow in UTT HiPER 840G 3.1.1-190328 allows remote authenticated users to crash the router via a crafted request. The aspRemoteApConfTempSend handler copies the remoteSrcTemp form value with strcpy into a fixed-size destination without a length check. Administrative Digest credentials and network access to the management interface are required; the demonstrated consequence is a service interruption.
