Browser script execution via unescaped language value
Published Jul 14, 2025 · Updated Jul 14, 2025
Reflected XSS in ShopXO 6.5.0 and earlier allows remote attackers to execute JavaScript in a user's browser via the lang parameter. The multilingual header templates place the parameter-derived language value inside a single-quoted JavaScript string without escaping single quotes, allowing input to terminate the string and append script. Exploitation requires a user to open a crafted URL; the script runs in the affected site's browser context and can act with that user's session.
