Authenticated code execution via unchecked dips copy
Published Jul 13, 2025 · Updated Jul 14, 2025
Stack-based overflow in Tenda FH1201 1.2.0.14(408) allows remote authenticated users to execute code through a crafted dips parameter. The fromGstDhcpSetSer handler passes the user-controlled value to strncpy without checking its length against the stack buffer dest. Low-privileged network access to the web handler is required, and exploitation can execute code or crash the router.
