Authenticated code execution via unchecked sprintf
Published Jul 13, 2025 · Updated Jul 14, 2025
Stack-based buffer overflow in Tenda FH1201 1.2.0.14(408) allows remote authenticated users to execute code via a crafted page parameter. The frmL7ProtForm handler passes the user-controlled page value to sprintf without a length check, overflowing stack buffer s_2. Access to the network-reachable management handler with low privileges is required; exploitation can crash the router or execute code in its firmware context.
