CVE-2025-7527Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Authenticated memory corruption via unchecked password copy

Published Jul 13, 2025 · Updated Jul 15, 2025

Stack-based buffer overflow in Tenda FH1202 1.2.0.14(408) allows remote authenticated users to corrupt memory via a crafted WAN request. The fromAdvSetWan handler passes the POST-supplied PPPOEPassword value to decodePwd, which copies it into a fixed-size stack array without enforcing its capacity. Low-privileged access to the management endpoint is required, and public evidence demonstrates a proof-of-concept request rather than exploitation in the wild.
