Authenticated SQL injection via unsanitized musername
Published Jul 13, 2025 · Updated Jul 14, 2025
SQL injection in code-projects Chat System 1.0 allows remote authenticated users to alter database queries through musername. The /user/update_account.php handler incorporates the attacker-controlled musername value into an SQL statement without neutralizing SQL syntax. A valid low-privilege session is required, and the injected statement executes with the application's database permissions.
