Authenticated code execution via unchecked sprintf
Published Jul 12, 2025 · Updated Jul 15, 2025
Stack-based buffer overflow in Tenda FH451 1.0.0.9 allows remote authenticated users to execute code via a crafted HTTP POST request. The frmL7ProtForm handler passes the unchecked page parameter to sprintf, overflowing a stack buffer at /goform/L7Prot. Access to the affected handler is required; successful exploitation can execute code, while malformed attempts can crash the management service.
