Stored XSS via unescaped Order Details output
Published Jul 21, 2025 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Stored XSS in Ebook Store 5.8012 and earlier allows remote authenticated users with administrator access to execute scripts via Order Details. The Order Details rendering path in functions.php emits stored order data without sufficient sanitization or context-appropriate output escaping. Only multisite installations and sites with unfiltered_html disabled expose the flaw; injected script runs when a user opens the affected page and acts in that user's browser context.
