Authenticated remote code execution via unrestricted script upload
Published Jul 12, 2025 · Updated Jul 15, 2025
Unrestricted file upload in Code Projects Simple Car Rental System 1.0 allows remote authenticated users to execute PHP code via the admin image form. The /admin/add_cars.php handler accepts the image filename, MIME type, and content without validation, then stores the file in a web-accessible executable directory. Administrator authentication and a valid PHP session are required; an uploaded PHP web shell grants command execution and file access under the web server account.
