Authenticated stack overwrite via unchecked sprintf
Published Jul 12, 2025 · Updated Jul 14, 2025
Stack buffer overflow in Tenda FH1201 1.2.0.14 allows remote authenticated users to overwrite memory via a crafted page POST parameter. The fromRouteStatic handler passes the unbounded page value to sprintf when formatting routing_static.asp?page=%s into a fixed stack buffer. Access to the router management interface is required; the resulting stack corruption compromises the HTTP process and can interrupt service.
