Authenticated command execution via unchecked MAC parameter
Published Jul 11, 2025 · Updated Jul 14, 2025
Buffer overflow in TOTOLINK T6 4.1.5cu.748_B20211015 allows remote authenticated users to execute commands via an HTTP POST. The setWiFiAclRules handler copies the mac parameter into local_mac without length validation, overwriting wlan_interface_1 and injecting shell syntax. Access to the router management interface and low-privileged authentication are required; successful exploitation runs attacker-supplied commands on the device.
