Authenticated arbitrary file upload via insufficient validation
Published Jul 18, 2025 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Arbitrary file upload in StylemixThemes MasterStudy LMS Pro 4.7.9 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to write server files. The install_and_activate_plugin function accepts uploaded plugin content without sufficient file-type validation, allowing dangerous file types to reach the WordPress host. Subscriber-level access is sufficient, but timing and environmental conditions constrain exploitation; executable content can enable code execution.
