Authenticated code execution via unchecked macList copy
Published Jul 11, 2025 · Updated Jul 11, 2025
Stack-based buffer overflow in Tenda O3V2 1.0.0.12(3880) allows remote authenticated users to crash httpd via macList. The formWifiMacFilterSet handler for /goform/setWrlFilterList copies an unchecked, attacker-controlled macList value into a local stack buffer, overwriting the saved return address. An authenticated administrative session is required, and the demonstrated request persistently interrupts the web service; the researcher also reports control-flow hijacking for arbitrary code execution.
