Configuration corruption via arbitrary NAS settings injection
Published Jul 9, 2025 · Updated Jul 9, 2025
Improper input validation in ASUSTOR ADM 4.1 before 4.3.1.R5A1 allows local users to corrupt NAS configuration files. ADM accepts arbitrary values into the NAS configuration file without sufficient validation; ASUSTOR has not disclosed the responsible interface or code path. Exploitation requires low privileges, local access, user interaction, and additional conditions, and can misconfigure the NAS or cause unexpected behavior.
