Author-level stored XSS via unescaped custom fields
Published Jul 15, 2025 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Stored XSS in WPChill Strong Testimonials 3.2.11 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to run scripts via testimonial custom fields. The template helpers in includes/functions-template.php return stored custom-field values without sufficient input sanitization or context-appropriate output escaping. Author-level access or higher is required to plant the payload, which executes in the browser whenever a user opens an affected testimonial page.
