Unauthenticated shortcode execution via unchecked re_filterpost input
Published Sep 6, 2025 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Code injection in Sizam Design REHub Theme 19.9.7 and earlier allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary shortcodes without authentication. The re_filterpost action passes an insufficiently validated value to WordPress's do_shortcode function, causing attacker-supplied shortcode syntax to run. No account is required, and the resulting impact depends on the shortcodes registered by WordPress and installed extensions.
