Administrator escalation via crafted API parameter
Published Jul 21, 2025 · Updated Jul 21, 2025
Privilege escalation in Digiwin EAI 2.5.1 build 0161 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to obtain administrator access. A specific EAI API accepts a crafted parameter from a regular account and performs a privileged operation without enforcing the administrator boundary. Regular EAI credentials and network access to the API are required; successful exploitation grants administrator privileges over the application.
