Code execution via unvalidated DWG file data
Published Jul 21, 2025 · Updated Jul 22, 2025
Memory corruption in the CADImage Plugin for IrfanView before 4.72 allows remote attackers to execute code through a crafted DWG file. The DWG parser fails to validate user-supplied file data properly, producing a memory-corruption condition inside the current process. Exploitation requires the target to visit a malicious page or open a malicious file, and successful exploitation runs attacker-controlled code with the process's privileges.
