Code execution via malformed DXF parsing
Published Jul 21, 2025 · Updated Jul 22, 2025
Memory corruption in the CADImage DXF parser in IrfanView 4.70.0.0 allows attackers to execute code through a crafted DXF file. The plugin parses user-supplied DXF data without sufficient validation, allowing malformed content to corrupt memory in the current process. Exploitation requires a user to open the file or visit a malicious page, and successful exploitation runs code with the IrfanView process privileges.
