Type confusion in MongoDB Server 8.1.0 allows remote authenticated users to crash the database via queries with duplicate _id fields. MongoDB identifies the Query Execution area and CWE-843 but has not disclosed the faulty function or incompatible type operation. A valid database account able to issue the crafted query is required; successful exploitation terminates the server and interrupts service.
