Out-of-bounds write in INVT HMITool 7.1.011 allows remote attackers to execute code through a crafted VPM file. The VPM parser fails to validate user-supplied data before using it for a buffer write, allowing data to pass the end of its allocation. Exploitation requires a user to open the malicious file or visit a malicious page, and resulting code runs in the current process context.
