Out-of-bounds write in INVT HMITool 7.1.011 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code through a malicious VPM file. The VPM parser insufficiently validates user-supplied data before writing it into an allocated buffer, permitting a write beyond the buffer boundary. Exploitation requires the target to visit malicious content or open the crafted file, and resulting code runs in the current process.
