CVE-2025-7213Public exploit

Physical root access via passwordless UART console

Published Jul 9, 2025 · Updated Jul 9, 2025

Authentication bypass in FNKvision FNK-GU2 40.1.0 through 40.1.7 allows physically proximate attackers to obtain a root shell. Three unlabeled UART through-holes on the camera board expose a 115200-baud serial console that accepts the root username without requesting a password. Exploitation requires opening the housing and attaching a USB-to-serial adapter, after which the shell grants complete administrative control over the camera.
