Unauthenticated database access via unescaped email parameter
Published Jul 8, 2025 · Updated Jul 8, 2025
SQL injection in code-projects Crime Reporting System 1.0 allows remote attackers to read or alter database data through the police login page. The /policelogin.php handler places the POST email parameter directly into a MySQL query without neutralization, allowing crafted predicates and subqueries to alter its logic. No authentication or user interaction is required; demonstrated boolean-, error-, and time-based payloads can enumerate database contents and perform operations allowed by the application's database account.
