Stored script execution via patient POST parameters
Published Jul 7, 2025 · Updated Jul 8, 2025
Stored cross-site scripting in CodeAstro Simple Hospital Management System 1.0 allows remote authenticated users to inject browser script. The /patient.html POST handler stores multiple patient-field values without neutralizing executable markup before rendering them. Low-privilege access is required, and the script runs only when another user views the affected patient data, allowing changes within that user's browser context.
