Command execution via GuardBuilder.get scan bypass
Published Jul 4, 2026 · Updated Jul 4, 2026
Detection bypass in Matthieu Maitre picklescan before 0.0.28 allows remote attackers to execute commands via a malicious pickle file. The scanner omits torch._dynamo.guards.GuardBuilder.get from its dangerous-global blocklist, so a reduce method referencing that function passes inspection. Execution requires an application or user to trust the clean result and load the file, which evaluates an attacker-controlled expression.
