Code execution via unflagged param_eval reduce target
Published Jul 4, 2026 · Updated Jul 4, 2026
Protection bypass in picklescan before 0.0.33 allows remote attackers to execute code through a malicious pickle that passes scanning. The scanner's unsafe-global policy does not flag numpy.f2py.crackfortran.param_eval when a pickle reduce tuple names it, so the file is reported as safe. Execution occurs only if a user or application later deserializes the attacker-supplied file, and the payload runs with that process's privileges.
