Remote code execution via traversal-based file overwrite
Published Jun 25, 2026 · Updated Jun 25, 2026
Path traversal in Flowise through 3.1.3 allows remote attackers to write arbitrary files through the document-store loader API. The addBase64FilesToStorage, addArrayFilesToStorage, and addSingleFileToStorage functions pass an untrusted fileName to path.join without validation, allowing ../ segments to escape the storage directory. No authentication or user interaction is required; code runs with the server's privileges after a crafted package.json is written and the application restarts.
