CVE-2025-71304

IPv4 networking denial via reused Smack DOI

Published May 27, 2026 · Updated May 27, 2026

Denial of service in affected Linux Kernel releases allows local users to interrupt IPv4 networking by reusing a Smack DOI. Smack retains decommissioned DOI definitions, fails to re-add a reused DOI, and omits the default IPv4 NetLabel domain map. The user must be able to write /smack/doi; triggering the flaw interrupts networking only for processes operating under non-ambient labels.
