Filesystem corruption via ignored truncation failure

Improper error handling in Linux Kernel NTFS3 allows remote authenticated users to corrupt filesystem metadata through file truncation. The ntfs_truncate path ignores a failed attr_set_size call while shrinking an inode, leaving VFS size, valid-data length, allocation runs, and NTFS attribute records desynchronized. Remote authenticated users need write and truncate access to an NFS or ksmbd share backed by an NTFS3 volume; successful attempts make files inaccessible or the volume unusable without user interaction.
