Script execution via unsanitized transmettre error message
Published Feb 19, 2026 · Updated Feb 19, 2026
Cross-site scripting in SPIP 4.1.0 through 4.1.19, 4.2.0 through 4.2.16, and 4.3.0 through 4.3.5 allows attackers to run scripts. The transmettre API places attacker-controlled content in a private-area error message without neutralizing it for HTML output. A victim must render the crafted error response, where the script executes in the SPIP origin; the SPIP security screen mitigates this path.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
- Affected versionversion=4.1.0 <4.1.20
- Affected versionversion=4.2.0 <4.2.17
- Affected versionversion=4.3.0 <4.3.6
