Authenticated script execution via unencoded path reflection
Published Jan 14, 2026 · Updated Jan 14, 2026
Reflected XSS in Typesetter CMS 5.1 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to execute scripts through a crafted path parameter. The Tools Status move-message handler in include/admin/Tools/Status.php inserts path into HTML output without context-appropriate encoding. An authenticated request is required, and successful exploitation runs attacker-supplied JavaScript in an authenticated user's browser session, enabling session data access or actions with that user's privileges.
