Kernel memory disclosure and crash via ACPI parsing

Affected Linux Kernel branches starting at 6.6 allow local users to disclose kernel memory or crash the system through hp-bioscfg. The hp_populate_*_elements_from_package functions validate only elem before reading arrays at elem plus reqs or pos_values while parsing ACPI packages. Exploitation requires hp-bioscfg initialization on compatible HP hardware; readable sysfs metadata can expose copied memory, while an invalid pointer can cause an oops or panic.
