Local service interruption via evicted TTM object dereference
Published Jan 13, 2026 · Updated Jan 13, 2026
NULL pointer dereference in the TTM buffer-object access path in Linux Kernel allows local users to crash the system through devcoredump. The ttm_bo_access function reads bo->resource->mem_type without first checking whether an evicted buffer object still has a resource. Local low-privileged access and a devcoredump read of an evicted buffer object are required; no confidentiality or integrity impact is reported.
