CVE-2025-7107Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Arbitrary file read via unchecked filePath

Published Jul 7, 2025 · Updated Jul 7, 2025

Path traversal in SimStudioAI Sim 0.1.17 and earlier allows remote attackers to read arbitrary server files via a crafted filePath. The handleLocalFile function joins the request value to the upload directory and passes the resulting path to filesystem access and parsing operations without verifying that it remains inside that directory. No authentication or user interaction is required, and readable configuration, source, credential, or operating-system files can be disclosed.
