Kernel compromise via unchecked svcrdma page index
Published Jan 13, 2026 · Updated Jan 13, 2026
Out-of-bounds access in the Linux Kernel allows remote attackers to compromise the kernel via crafted RPC-over-RDMA inline data. The svc_rdma_copy_inline_range function indexes rqstp->rq_pages with rc_curpage before confirming that the index remains within the allocated page-pointer array, including after page advancement. An unauthenticated peer that can reach an enabled RPC-over-RDMA service can force use of an out-of-array page pointer, affecting kernel data and service availability.
