Unauthenticated service crash via unchecked serverName copy
Published Jan 14, 2026 · Updated Jan 14, 2026
Stack-based buffer overflow in Tenda AX-1806 1.0.0.1 allows remote attackers to crash the router web service via a crafted HTTP request. The sub_65A28 function copies the user-controlled serverName value into a 128-byte stack buffer with strcpy and no length check. No authentication or user interaction is required; an oversized POST to /goform/AdvSetMacMtuWan corrupts stack memory and interrupts router service.
