CVE-2025-70955Network attack vector

Validator crash via recursive continuation jumps

Published Feb 13, 2026 · Updated Feb 13, 2026

Stack exhaustion in TON Virtual Machine before 2024.10 allows remote attackers to crash validator nodes via a crafted smart contract. Continuation jump handlers recursively dispatch the next continuation, allowing deeply nested dynamic tail calls to consume the host process stack. Execution of the malicious contract by a validator is the only gate; permitted gas limits do not prevent exhaustion, interrupting that node's validation service.
