Persistent service loss via unchecked POST parameter
Published Jul 6, 2025 · Updated Jul 7, 2025
Stack-based buffer overflow in Belkin F9K1122 1.00.33 allows remote authenticated users to crash its network service via a crafted request. The webs binary's formBSSetSitesurvey handler processes an oversized submit-url-ok value from a POST to /goform/formBSSetSitesurvey without checking its length, overflowing the stack. Low-privileged access to browser-based management is required; the demonstrated consequence is persistent service loss, while arbitrary code execution remains an unvalidated claim.
