CVE-2025-70886Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Persistent comment-page outage via omitted version field

Published Feb 12, 2026 · Updated Feb 12, 2026

Persistent denial of service in Halo CMS 2.22.4 and earlier allows remote attackers to disable its admin comment page via a public endpoint. The comment submission handler stores a malformed record that omits subjectRef.version, and the management view later dereferences the missing field without handling the exception. Sites that permit unauthenticated comments are exposed; the stored record makes the management page return HTTP 500 on later reads.
