Authenticated code execution via unchecked L2TPUserName copy
Published Jul 6, 2025 · Updated Jul 7, 2025
Stack-based overflow in Belkin F9K1122 1.00.33 allows remote authenticated users to execute code via a crafted L2TPUserName. The formL2TPSetup handler copies the unbounded value into a stack local variable, overwriting the function return address. Access to the browser-based management interface is required; the published proof of concept demonstrates a persistent service crash.
