User-to-admin escalation via shared authentication provider
Published Feb 13, 2026 · Updated Feb 13, 2026
Improper access control in LavaLite CMS 10.1.0 allows remote authenticated users with a User role to access the admin backend. The /admin/login path authenticates admin and ordinary sessions through the same user provider without verifying an administrative role. Any low-privilege account can therefore cross the authorization boundary and operate within the administrative backend; the public record does not enumerate individual permitted actions.
