Authenticated code execution via Freemarker SQL templates
Published Feb 17, 2026 · Updated Feb 17, 2026
Server-side template injection in Datart 1.0.0-rc.3 allows remote authenticated users to execute arbitrary code through SQL scripts. The SQL execution endpoint renders the script field as a Freemarker template, allowing ObjectConstructor to instantiate ProcessBuilder from template syntax. Exploitation requires a valid session and permission to access and edit a data source with SQL execution, after which commands run on the server.
