CVE-2025-7072Network attack vector

Root command execution via shared hard-coded credentials

Published Jan 9, 2026 · Updated Jan 9, 2026

Use of hard-coded credentials in KAON CG3000T and CG3000TC firmware allows remote attackers to execute commands as root. The firmware stores the same clear-text credential set across every router of each model and accepts it for privileged command access. No authentication or user interaction is required, and successful access grants full root-level control of the gateway.
