Authenticated file writes via unchecked data directory
Published Jul 4, 2025 · Updated Jul 7, 2025
Improper input validation in Monitorr 1.7.6m and earlier allows remote authenticated users to write application data via datadir. The mkdbajax.php installer reads datadir from datadir.json and concatenates it with filenames before copy, rename, and SQLite operations without constraining the path. High-privilege access and a high-complexity request path are required; successful use can alter data or interrupt the service.
