Account takeover via nonce-free password change
Published Sep 30, 2025 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
CSRF in LatePoint 5.1.94 and earlier allows remote attackers to take over customer accounts through a forged password-change request. The customer_cabinet__change_password AJAX route calls change_password() without validating a WordPress nonce or checking user capability. Exploitation requires a logged-in customer to visit attacker-controlled content; administrator takeover is possible when “WP users as customers” is enabled.
