Account takeover via unchecked user key
Published Sep 10, 2025 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Privilege escalation in Dasinfomedia WPGYM 67.7.0 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to take over any WordPress account. MJ_gmgt_gmgt_add_user trusts a user-controlled account key without validating that the caller may update the selected user. Subscriber-level access is sufficient to replace an administrator's email address or password, granting control of that account.
