Unauthenticated account access via unchecked AJAX identity
Published Sep 30, 2025 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Authentication bypass in LatePoint 5.1.94 and earlier allows remote attackers to access customer accounts through its WordPress AJAX route. The steps__load_step route trusts a client-supplied email and customer fields before calling the internal login handler without login-state, capability, or nonce validation. No credentials or prior access are required; exploitation creates an authenticated customer session with access to that account's data and actions.
