Privilege escalation via forged system alarm comments

Broken access control in ThingsBoard PE 4.21 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to forge system alarm comments via API requests. The alarm-comment endpoint trusted a caller-supplied comment type and permitted updates to existing system-generated comments instead of reserving both operations for the platform. Customer-user access is sufficient to impersonate internal alarm actions or alter trusted comment history; the flaw does not grant unauthenticated access.
