Root command execution via unsanitized VLAN identifiers
Published Feb 23, 2026 · Updated Feb 23, 2026
OS command injection in TOTOLink X5000R 9.1.0cu_2415_B20250515 allows remote authenticated users to execute commands as root. The setIptvCfg handler reads vlanVidLanX values from UCI, interpolates them verbatim into ifconfig, vconfig, and brctl command strings, then executes those strings through CsteSystem. Reachability requires an authenticated session on an adjacent network, and injected shell metacharacters provide root-level command execution.
